The event will be firstly commenced with the technical visit in the Jianglong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which is a shipbuilding enterprise established in 2003 comprising 2 shipyards in Zhuhai and Zhongshan of Guangdong Province. The Zhuhai Jianglong Shipyard, which has a land area of around 800,000 square metres, is the first venue we are going to visit. The Jianlong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is specialized in the design, research, development, manufacture of various kinds of vessels, including patrol boats, tourism leisure boats and passenger boats, and etc. The shipbuilding company has also cooperated with China Coast Guard, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Agriculture, Customs, Ministry of Commerce, Maritime and etc. and provided high speed patrol boats for the captioned law and enforcement agencies. After the technical visit to the shipyard, we will be heading to Guangzhou and participating in a joint badminton event with the Guangdong Society of Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering (GDSNAME) in the afternoon. The GDSNAME, which is established in 1957 and governed by the Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology, is composed of the shipbuilding and marine engineering manufacturing-related shipbuilding companies, R&D, design institutes and universities in Guangdong Province. The GDSNAME serves to organise maritime technology exchange activities and to promote the innovative development in the Guangdong maritime industry. We, the HKJB of IMarEST and RINA, HKIMT and HKIE MMNC division together, aim to provide activities not only in sharing technical knowledge with the professional community, but also in blending ourselves into the society as a whole by taking part in joint regional activities in cultivating friendships with them and ultimately exchanging maritime knowledge with multi-regional community.
