Winning Le Mans 24H with an electric car is a huge challenge, both technically and commercially. Nicolas will present the design of the car, explain the current limitations associated with battery technology and future developments required to go and race at Le Mans in the near future. He will explain how he is planning to grow Project 424 on the internet as a global development program in order to gather the necessary resources and talents.

Speaker

Nicolas Perrin is a mechanical engineer from France, currently working as a senior designer for the Jaguar Formula E team, in charge of future concepts. He graduated with a master's degree in Paris before starting his career as a race engineer in LMP1 at Le Mans in 2002. In 2005, Nicolas moved to the UK and joined Williams F1 as a race performance engineer before switching to aerodynamic design at the age of 30. In 2016, Nicolas was appointed as senior designer and race engineer for the NIO EP9 program, current world's fastest electric supercar with lap records set at the Nurburgring, Shanghai and Austin, Texas.
