Programme Highlight
Engineers’ role at various stage throughout the operation and lifecycle
of lifting equipment, relevant regulations, codes of practice, national and
industry standards in lifting works would be reviewed. Cases and aspects in
lifting design and operation would be discussed.

Man Kwong
Ir Ng completed marine engineering
education and training in HK Polytechnic, SouthShields Marine Technical College
and Southampton Institute of H.E., MSc from U. Warwick and PhD from Shanghai
Finance & Economies University. He has been approved as IIA by WSD
and ICE for piers, seawalls & navigation channels by CEDD. He practiced as
seagoing engineer, superintendent and surveyor in shipping. He attended oil
field, coal mine, road and hydro construction sites for equipment
commissioning. He
had experience in design of derrick crane, ferry pier ramp & cage, lifting
gear and water works surge vessel, and consulting of lifting operation.
