Highlights
Government Dockyard provides design,
procurement and maintenance services to over 900 government vessels, which are of
12 vessel classes and operated by 14 government departments. The dockyard occupies
a site of 9.8 hectares on the northeast coast of Stonecutters Island with an
8.3-hectare protected water basin. It is equipped with a shiplift system and
three ship-hoist that is capable of dry-docking vessels up to 750 tonnes.
In this visit, participants will have
better understanding on the work of Government Dockyard and be given the
opportunity to have a tour around the shipyard, engine testing facilities and different
featured workshops (e.g. Propeller W/S, Fuel pump W/S, …)

This seminar is free of charge and prior
registration is required. The number of participants is limited to 28. Applications
will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis with priority given to
members of MMNC Division. For registration, please fill in the MS

individually. Transportation between Government
Dockyard and Lai Chi Kok Station will be provided. Assembly detail will be
