Programme Highlights
It is often the case that witnesses are not able to provide court
complete picture about a traffic accident. In such situation, expert
witness evidence is often the essential element to fill up the
incomplete picture for judge to consider the case. Reconstruction of
the scene of traffic accident require lots of knowledge and experience
in mechanical engineering. The speaker will share his experiences of
being an expert witness to assist court in various traffic accident
court cases in Hong Kong with his professional mechanical engineering
knowledge to reconstruct the scene of traffic accidents.
Speaker
Ir Lo Kok Keung is a former lecturer in Mechanical Engineering
Department, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Chartered
Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer. He is also a Fellow of
the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow of the Institute of
Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, a member of Hong Kong
Institution of Engineers, a member of American Society of Mechanical
Engineers, and a member of Society of Automotive Engineers. He has
served as an expert witness since 1994. His expert witness evidences
were admitted by over 70 court cases.
