Technical Seminar on Combustion
Fluidized Bed (CFB) Boiler.
Date, Time & Place
6 January 2017; 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Room PQ305 PolyU
Programme Highlights
The researches into the fluidized combustion technology was started in
early 70’s. A series of circulating fluidized bed boilers with the use
of the advance technology were developed. Comparing with the
conventional PC boiler, the CFB is a better selection from reliability,
environmentally friendliness, efficiency, and economics perspective
when high moisture and low calorific value lignite is used as fuel.
The speakers will introduce the design parameters, the overall layout,
the salient design features (including cyclone, coal feeding equipment,
ignition equipment, air preheater), the key supercritical technology
and the specific design to cope with the firing of lignite with
ultra-low calorific value. They will also share their experiences
in the operation of firing of this low rank coal CFB boiler
located in Eastern Europe, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Finally, They
will also share the areas that needs attention to ensure a smooth
project execution.
Speaker
Professionals from Dong Fang Boiler Group Co. (DBC)
DBC is one of the reputable equipment suppliers in China for
conventional fossil fuel power, nuclear power, environmental
protection, and coal gasification plants. It is also one of the leading
EPC contractors and services providers.
DBC is capable of designing and manufacturing boilers up to 1300MW in
capacity, employing various technologies including subcritical,
supercritical, ultra-supercritical for both conventional and combustion
fluidized bed boilers. DBC is also producing petrochemical storage
vessels as well as HP heaters, LP heaters, deaerators and De-SOx and
De-NOx equipment for power plant, all of which have reached the world
class standards.
As at end 2016, more than 800 units of power plant boilers with a total
output capacity of nearly 315 million KW and a total weight of over
163,200 tons of power plant auxiliary equipment had been completed and
sold by DBC to 28 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China,
amounting to 33% domestic market shares. Furthermore, DBC's products
have also been exported to India, Vietnam, Turkey, Indonesia, Peru,
Belarus, Brazil, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Japan, Saudi
Arabia and Sudan etc.
