Programme Highlights
Sewage treatment serves as an important component in protecting the environment as pollutants in wastewater must be reduced to acceptable levels before they could be discharged into the surrounding body of water. Process selected for a sewage treatment plant depends on many factors, including influent and effluent quality, space constraints, capital and operating expenditures, etc. This seminar provides a brief overview on the typical parameters that should be taken into consideration when designing a municipal sewage treatment plant, and brief explanations will be given on some of the processes and technologies that are available for selection.

Speaker
Norman Cheng is currently the Chairman of the HKIE Environmental Division, and has more than 20 years of working experience in the field of environmental engineering, specializing in water, sewage, sludge, and waste treatment.

This seminar is free of charge and prior registration is required. The number of participants is limited to 70.
