Programme Highlights
Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH) serves as a tertiary referral centre for complex, serious and uncommon paediatric cases requiring multidisciplinary management, providing diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services for children patients.
HKCH is the first hospital to achieve provisional platinum rating under the BEAM Plus New Building certification scheme.The building design is integrated with sustainable design concepts, environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient installations. Such as, the first hospital to implement district cooling system which consumes less electricity than traditional air-cooled air-conditioning systems, solar hot water system and photovoltaic panels on roof tops reduce energy consumption, and rain water recycling system for irrigation to reduce water consumption, etc.
The visit will be focus on introduction on main/critical systems installed at Plant Room Floor, design of general ward and isolation ward in HKCH and all associated E&M system inside a ward, and special design in Operation Theatre (e.g. Ventilation System, Laminar Flow Ceiling, Low-level Exhaust, Operation Theatre Panel, Operation Theatre Pendant and Power Supply etc.).

Registration & EnquiriesThis visit is free of charge and prior registration is required. The number of participants is limited to 20. Applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis with priority given to members of MMNC Division. Only on-line registration via MMNC divisional website http://mc.hkie.org.hk/ shall be accepted for registration. The visit might be cancelled subject to actual operation of Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, further confirmation will be announced on
