Programme Highlights

The event will be firstly commenced with the technical visit in the遠
航螺旋槳製造工廠,YuanHuang Propellers Co. Ltd. The propeller
manufacturing plant was established in 1993. After years of
continuous development in manufacturing process technology and
equipment, it has become one of the top propeller manufacturers in
China. The production technology of controllable pitch propeller
blades and hubs is considered at world-class level. The production
capacity has reached 60 tons of a single propeller. In July 2012, the
esteemed company had successfully manufactured a propeller with
a diameter of 8.4 meters and a finished product weight of 40 tons
with KR CLASS.

After the technical visit to the propeller manufacturing plant, we
will be heading to中船重型裝備有限公司, China State Shipbuilding
Cooperation Heavy Equipment Co. Ltd. It is located in Dagang Base,
Dagang Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou City. It is a direct
enterprise of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, one of
China's top ten military industrial groups. It is a state-owned
complete equipment manufacturing company established on the
basis of the integration and restructuring of the original Guangzhou
Zhongchuan Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. and the original
Guangzhou Zhongchuan Shipbuilding Steel Co., Ltd. The core
resources of the Group's internal research and development, design
and manufacturing are integrated into one, and the “underground
space construction equipment” industry is developed with
specialization and scale.
After visiting CSSCHE, we will be participating in a joint football
event with the Guangdong Society of Naval Architecture and Marine
Engineering (GDSNAME) in the afternoon. The GDSNAME, which is
established in 1957 and governed by the Guangzhou Association for
Science and Technology, is composed of the shipbuilding and
marine engineering manufacturing-related shipbuilding companies,
R&D, design institutes and universities in Guangdong Province. The
GDSNAME serves to organise maritime technology exchange
activities and to promote the innovative development in the
Guangdong maritime industry.
We, the HKJB of RINA & IMarEST, HKIMT and HKIE MMNC Division
together, aim to provide activities not only in sharing technical
knowledge with the professional community, but also in blending
ourselves into the society as a whole by taking part in joint regional
activities in cultivating friendships with them and ultimately
exchanging maritime knowledge with multi-regional community.

Free of charge
Participants are responsible for the high speed rail fee to andfro between 西九龍站 and 廣州南站, say around HK$ 500.

This seminar is free of charge* and prior registration is required.
The number of participants is limited to 20. Applications will be
accepted on a first-come-first-served basis with priority given to
members of MMNC Division. Only on-line registration via MMNC
divisional website http://mc.hkie.org.hk/ shall be accepted for
registration. Successful applicants will be notified individually.
