Programme Highlight:
Back in 2017, Hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) have been the latest
generation of refrigerant in Hong Kong, valued for their low Global Warming
Potential (GWP) and compliance with international and local environmental
regulations, including the Kigali Amendment under Montreal Protocol, and Hong
Kong's Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance (Cap. 403). As high-GWP
hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) are being phased down and controlled under these
regulations, HFOs have emerged as a sustainable, energy-efficient, and
environmentally friendly replacement. Supported by major chiller manufacturers,
HFOs have been widely adopted in green chiller plant for both New / Retrofitting
projects in Hong Kong, positioning them at the forefront of next-generation
refrigerant technology. In this seminar, the speaker will share his insight on
the evolution of refrigerant technologies, highlight the advantages of HFOs,
and focus on the essential safety considerations for practical implementation.Speaker:
