Programme Highlight
GBIUA is a non-profit-making charitable organization which obtained EPD's Environment Community Fund in 2022 on a project named "Pilot Scheme for Reducing Environmental Nuisance during renovation works in the Community". The main objective is to enhance the community awareness about reduction of environmental nuisance caused during renovation works, by promoting eco-friendly renovation methods to the general public and to the industry. Other project objectives included to promote:

Noise and Dust Control: Demonstrating the use of noise reduction and dust suppression equipment through Mock-up Lab

Worker Safety: Enhancing occupational safety and health for workers in the renovation industry

Environmental Responsibility: Addressing environmental challenges in various trades including property management and the renovation trades.

In September 2024, GBIUA launched the "Eco-Renovation Charter," which outlines a series of sustainable renovation practices aimed at encouraging adoption and gaining support from professionals and practitioners in the construction industry. This webinar aims to further advance the goals of the charter and promote sustainable practices across the industry.
